Tari Prinster: Yoga for Cancer Survivors

Most inspiring! Hope, safety, community, restorative yoga. And squats. It sounds about perfect to me, in general.

Thank you for such a great website. I saw Yogawoman and was fascinated by your work. After watching the movie twice I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself. Yoga was my anchor and saviour through these first weeks. I will now study Yoga Therapy for breast cancer and hope to make a difference with other women affected. Any hints are much appreciated.

      Hi Natja!

What an inspiring story. I am so glad you had yoga to hold you in those bought times. And so glad you are sharing it now! Tari is going to do a special post for us with her insights, so stay tuned xx

    Hi Nadine.

Thank you for posting this about Yoga 4 Cancer. I would love to answer questions from survivors, yoga students or yoga teachers about yoga and cancer. Hopefully my forthcoming book will do that as well. A live-discussion is good to focus on immediate concerns.

Thank you, Kate. I am truly humbled by the film and how the filmmakers told my story. From NYC, I continue my work of teaching women survivors. I am delighted to be ‘found’ by Nadine and given this post on her blog. If you have questions about yoga and cancer. I recently watched the ‘YogaWoman’ doco and Tari was featured throughout that. She’s really awesome.
